Angola 0-0 Uganda: Delayed game drawn
LUANDA, June 23 (Reuters) - Uganda earned a vital away point with a goalless draw in Angola on Monday to strengthen their chances of progress into the next phase of the African zone World Cup qualifiers.
The result, which followed a 3-1 win for Uganda over the
2006 World Cup finalists on June 14 in Kampala, keeps the two
sides second in the Group Three standings, two points behind
leaders Benin.
Monday's match in Luanda had been postponed for 24 hours
because of the late arrival of the referees from Nigeria. The
final two rounds of matches are to be played in September and
October.
