Boston's five-year stay in the Football League is hanging by a thread after they could only draw 1-1 with already-relegated Torquay.

Despite dominating the first half and the hosts could not find a breakthrough although they were handed an advantage when Lee Thorpe was dismissed in the 41st minute after he struck out at Ernie Cooksey.

The visitors went ahead on 49 minutes when Lee Mansell sent an angled 20-yarder beyond Andy Marriott, but seven minutes from time, the scores were level when Drewe Broughton netted with a firm header.
