Greece 2-0 Hungary: Greeks go ahead of Turks
IRAKLION, Greece, June 2 (Reuters) - Greece grabbed top spot
in Group C by beating Hungary 2-0 in Euro 2008 qualifying on
Saturday.
The European champions have 15 points from six games, two
ahead of Turkey who lost 3-2 in Bosnia.
Theofanis Gekas put Greece ahead on 16 minutes with his
first international goal.
Defender Yourkas Seitaridis made sure of victory 13 minutes
later after a surging run into the penalty area and a powerful
shot that flew past goalkeeper Zoltan Vegh.
