ROOSENDAAL, March 19 (Eredivisie) - Kennedy Bakircioglu scored a late equaliser for FC Twente to prevent RBC Roosendaal securing only their second win of the season.
Ebrima Sillar's early goal gave the home side a shock lead before Bakircioglu levelled for Twente with just five minutes remaining.
The result means the team from Enschede remain in contention for the UEFA Cup play-offs while RBC grabbed their ninth point of the season although relegation could become a mathematical certainty as soon as next week.
RBC started the game strongly and got their reward in the fifth minute when they took the lead with Sillar collecting a cross and then dispatching the ball past Remco Pasveer.
Two minutes later RBC nearly doubled their lead but Tim Smolders blasted over the bar when he had the goal at his mercy.
And it took until the half-hour mark for Twente to finally create a chance as Patrick Gerritsen's shot drifted wide.
In the 38th minute Twente had another opportunity as RBC goalkeeper Mark Volders was forced to make a good save from Sharbel Touma's shot.
The men from Enschede were coming out of their shells and started the second-half the brightest and four minutes after the break Bakircioglu was denied the equaliser as Volders saved with his feet.
In the 76th minute Volders again saved well from Blaise N'Kufo's shot, before RBC missed three good chances to seal the points, as Pasveer saved twice from substitute Paul Kpaka and another replacement Ali Elkhattabi spurned another chance.
And they were made to pay when Bakircioglu slotted home from 12 yards out.
