Scarborough 1-2 Crawley Town
Scarborough's stuttering start to the season continued as Crawley stole three points in stoppage time with a 2-1 win at the McCain Stadium.
Following consecutive defeats, the hosts looked on course for a hard-earned draw against a dogged Crawley outfit after Michael Coulson's 25-yard free-kick had cancelled out Simon Wormull's close-range finish for the visitors.
But despite having the better of the second half after their equaliser, most notably an Ian Clark header that shaved the crossbar and another Coulson effort that goalkeeper Scott Ward saved with his feet, Scarborough were undone in stoppage time. When Neil Bishop brought down Paul Armstrong, Wormull flighted in the free-kick and Chris Giles rose to head the winner from six yards.
There was still time for more drama as Crawley's Sasha Opinel was shown an immediate red card for a crude challenge on Mark Quayle, but there was no way back for Boro.
