Veteran midfielder Neil Redfearn scored from the penalty spot as Scarborough claimed a 1-0 win against Forest Green.
The visitors started brightly and almost took the lead in the sixth minute. Alex Meechan's ferocious shot from Jon Beswetherick's free-kick was tipped around the post by Leigh Walker.
Scarborough's best first-half chance came from Steve Baker in time added on, but his header from Kevin Nicholson's cross flew inches wide.
Meechan went close for Rovers and Ian Clark forced a fine save from Ryan Clarke at the other end before the deadlock was finally broken.
Simieon Howell scythed down Jake Speight in the penalty area, and it was left to Redfearn to slot the spot-kick into the bottom corner.
Speight spurned three good chances in 10 second-half minutes but Forest Green could not make Scarborough pay.
