DEN BOSCH, March 18 (Eredivisie) - Roda JC swept to a convincing win at relegation-bound Den Bosch to take a massive step towards securing their place in the Eredivisie next season.
Roda took the lead through Cisse Sekou after 27 minutes, and doubled their advantage thanks to Laszlo Bodnar's strike on the stroke of half-time.
Substitute Diego Jongen wrapped up the win in the last minute of the match.
The visitors moved up a place to 10th in the table with their ninth win of the campaign, and are now 15 points above third-bottom De Graafschap.
The away side carved out the first real opening after 12 minutes, when Sergio de Oliveiro forced Den Bosch goalkeeper Kris Mampaey into making a fine save to keep out his shot from 12 yards.
The hosts offered precious little in attack, and Roda took the lead when Arouna Kone's cross from the left was converted by Sekou from the middle of the penalty area.
Seconds before the half-time whistle, Bodnar effectively put the game out of the reach of the home side, when he curled home an unstoppable free-kick from 30 yards, which left goalkeeper Mampaey rooted to the spot.
Mourad Mghizrat came on as a substitute for Den Bosch at the start of the second half when he replaced Ferne Snoyl, and he wasted a glorious opportunity to reduce the deficit when he headed wide of the target from point-blank range with 15 minutes remaining.
In the final minute of the match Jongen, who came on to replace Jerome Colinet for the final few minutes, tapped home the third goal of the evening for Roda from four yards out following a goalmouth scramble.
