Leigh RMI 1-4 Burton Albion

Jon Shaw and substitute Chris Hall inspired Burton to a comfortable 4-1 victory at basement club Leigh even though the home side took a shock early lead.

That came in the eighth minute when Lee Mulvaney's through-ball found Chris Lane in the penalty area and the defender fired past Daniel Crane for his first goal of the season.

The equaliser came in the 36th minute. Craig Dudley crossed from the right and Shaw powered a header past Jon Worsnop and into the top right corner of the net.

Barry Miller gave Burton the lead four minutes after half time, the defender heading low past Worsnop from Sam Shilton's left-wing free-kick.

Three minutes later it was 3-1. Shaw's cross found Hall, who finished right-footed into the top corner of the net.

Hall turned provider for the fourth goal 17 minutes from time, crossing for fellow substitute Andrew Corbett to finish low past Worsnop.
