Aldershot took the honours in the local derby at home to Farnborough, winning 3-1 to stay among the front-runners in the eagerly-contested chase for Conference play-off places.
The hosts took just over a minute to go ahead, Brett Johnson heading home from an Adrian Caceres corner.
After 16 minutes Farnborough had a golden chance to equalise from the penalty spot after Johnson had fouled Jimmy Turner, but in aiming for the left corner of the net Chukkie Eribenne put the ball wide.
Six minutes before half time it was Aldershot's turn to miss a penalty, awarded when goalkeeper Mark Osborn brought down Jake Robinson. Osborn redeemed himself with a terrific save from David Lee.
He also denied Caceres with another fine stop just before Nick Crittenden extended the hosts' lead in the 54th minute with a superb long-range strike.
Tony Taggart gave the visitors hope when he converted a Robert Traynor cross in the 69th minute but Robinson made the points safe for Aldershot five minutes later following good work from Tim Sills on the right.
