Feyenoord Rotterdam 7-1 FC Zwolle
ROTTERDAM, May 16 (Eredivisie) - Danko Lazovic and Dirk Kuijt both hit hat-tricks as Feyenoord sent FC Zwolle down to the Gouden Gids Divisie with a 7-1 hammering in Rotterdam.
Patrick Paauwe was also on target for the home side and Dominguos Lim-Duan's strike was of little consolation for the visitors as home wins for fellow strugglers Vitesse Arnhem and Volendam saw them leap-frog Hennie Spijkerman's side and bring the curtain down on a miserable campaign for the north east outfit.
The influential Shinji Ono played in Lazovic to open the scoring in the second minute and he netted again just seven minutes later, getting on the end of Paauwe's pin-point cross and bulleting the ball home from just inside the area.
The Zwolle defence were all over the place and Kuijt increased the lead after 15 minutes with Japanese midfielder Ono the provider again.
Kuijt grabbed his brace with a cool individual effort, putting the game beyond the visitors before the break.
Paauwe got in on the act five minutes after the re-start, before Lim-Duan, who had come closest to scoring for the visitors in the first half, pulled a goal back just after the hour.
Kuijt blasted home a 20-yard free-kick with 11 minutes left to claim his treble but, not to be outdone, Lazovic completed the rout three minutes later, waltzing through the shell-shocked Zwolle rearguard before slotting the ball into the net from eight yards.
