Fulham midfielder Steve Sidwell believes the 4-1 win over Crystal Palace has taken the pressure off manager Martin Jol.
Goals from Pajtim Kasami, Sidwell, Dimitar Berbatov and Philippe Senderos, the first two of which were sumptuous volleys, gave the visitors a valuable three points after Palace had led early on following Adrian Mariappa's header.
"First of all it was a lot of hard work. Going a goal down too early was a bit of a blow but we knew if we kept plugging away, chances would come and we took them," Sidwell told Sky Sports 1. "We needed something special to get back into the game and it [Kasami's strike] certainly was something special.
"Obviously we have all been under pressure, not just him [Jol]. Back-to-back wins put a lot of spirit in the camp and takes the pressure off."
Kasami said the result will give Fulham a huge boost.
"I'm very pleased that we won that game," Kasami said. "We were losing 1-0. Thanks to Sascha [Riether] for the great ball. It was a great goal and I was very pleased.
"I saw Sascha with the ball and saw I could run in the space and it came perfect to my chest and I took it with my right foot. I'm very pleased for these two great wins. It gives us a lot of confidence. We will keep playing like that and hopefully we will improve."
