Berwick will have Billy Bald in goal against Dumbarton in the Scottish Cup.
Bald has been declared fit following a recent leg operation. Regular number one Paul Grant, on loan from Hibernain, has not been granted permission from his parent club to play in the fourth round tie and goalkeeping coach Gary O'Connor would have played if Bald was not available.
Owen Ronald, who has been loaned to the Borderers from Dumbarton, will also not feature, while Scott Dalziel is an injury doubt and Dougie Brydon's pelvic injury keep him out.
Shielfield manager Ian Little said: "Ian Murray has done a terrific job at Dumbarton but we do not want to stand back and admire them. We want to go out and win this game."
Dumbarton welcome back Scott Smith after an ankle injury.
However, two Sons miss out on the trip over the border with Scott Agnew unavailable due to a groin injury and Garry Fleming absent with an ankle injury.
Manager Ian Murray is confident that his men can now handle the favourites tag, he said: "We have done well recently as underdogs but in games where we have been expected to win we have struggled.
"We lost to Stranraer in the Ramsdens Cup when we were expected to win and that will give Berwick hope. I am sure we have learned from that."
