Clyde face stern Brora test

Clyde face arguably the toughest challenge of any Scottish Professional Football League side when they host big-spending Brora Rangers in the third round of the Scottish Cup.

Iain Gray is suspended for the Bully Wee while Sean Fitzharris has joined East Kilbride on loan.

Manager Jim Duffy said: "You would normally expect a senior side to have the edge over a Highland League one but Brora are different. They have players with hundreds of games in the top flight and we don't have any players who have played hundreds of games.

"In saying that we are going into it on the back of two wins. I cannot ask for much better than that."

Brora, who have won nine games out of nine in the Highland League and lifted the North of Scotland Cup, head to Cumbernauld missing long-term absentee Dale Gillespie.

Recent signing Grant Munro, formerly of Inverness and Ross County, will make his Scottish Cup debut a week after helping his new side to a 3-0 league success over Deveronvale.

Manager David Kirkwood said: "We are going to Clyde in good form and with a strong winning mentality.

"They have won their last two games so they will be confident as well but we can get through."
