Gemmell out for Stenny

Stenhousemuir will go into their Ramsdens Cup semi-final against favourites Rangers without top scorer John Gemmell who is banned after picking up two yellow cards in this season's competition.

Better news for the Warriors is that captain Ross McMillan is fully fit and expected to start for the first time in over three weeks after a knee injury.

Experienced midfielder David Rowson is also available after making his comeback from knee surgery in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Forfar.

Manager Martyn Corrigan said: "The last time we played Rangers we lost our way and lost 8-0. That hurt our pride and I am looking for a reaction to that result."

Rangers manager Ally McCoist has no fresh injuries to contend with for the game.

Lewis Macleod has recovered from an ankle knock sustained at East Fife at the weekend, meaning McCoist has the option of naming the same side who won 4-0.

Dean Shiels, Chris Hegarty and Ross Perry remain on the sidelines ahead of the visit to Ochilview.
