Berwick's Lee Currie returns to face Elgin after sitting out a one-game ban in the 2-1 Scottish Cup win over Peterhead last weekend.
Dougie Brydon's groin problem and Owen Ronald's ankle injury keep them out, but on-loan Hibernian goalkeeper Paul Grant is available again after the Borderers were refused permission to play him against the Blue Toon.
Manager Ian Little said: "Elgin have put together a good run recently, so will be coming here looking for a win.
"We have the chance to put some pressure on leaders East Stirling, who are not playing this weekend by moving to within a point. It would be great to take it."
Elgin head south on the back of a six-game unbeaten run without Ross McKinnon, who fractured a cheekbone in last weekend's 4-0 Scottish Cup success at Keith.
Captain David Niven is available again after illness, but Mark Nicolson remains sidelined with a groin problem and Paul Millar (knee) is also out.
Borough Briggs manager Ross Jack said: "We don't have a great record at Shielfield and it would be good to change that.
"We turned the corner a few weeks ago in terms of our performances and it has been great to put a wee run together, but we need to play well to keep it going."
