Creaney doubt for Sons

Dumbarton defender James Creaney will need to pass a fitness test before he can be included in the Sons side to face visitors Hamilton in the Scottish Cup.

Player-boss Ian Murray is unavailable due to a groin injury, but goalkeeper Stephen Grindlay is available as are loan signings Nicky Devlin and Mark Lamont.

Kevin Nicol and Pat Walker are missing through injury.

Murray said: ``After six postponements in the Scottish Cup and the First Division I am keeping my fingers crossed that we get the go-ahead and I can start my managerial career.

``We are at home against a team from our league so we are in with a decent chance.''

Hamilton manager Billy Reid will need to change the side that drew 1-1 with Dunfermline on Saturday.

Kilmarnock have refused permission for on-loan Gary Fisher to play and St Johnstone have done likewise with Steven May.

Jonathan Page also misses out through suspension while Ryan Finnie, Stephen Hendrie, Jon McShane and Kieran Millar are injured.

Reid said: ``Drawing at Dunfermline shows again that we have improved over recent weeks and in fact we could have actually won the game. It is disappointing therefore to have to change the team around but we have made plans to cope with it.

``This will be tricky as despite the delays the Dumbarton players will want to impress their new manager.''
