Robins won't budge on trio

Coventry manager Mark Robins is not revealing whether loan trio David McGoldrick, Callum Ball and James Bailey have been given clearance to play against non-League Arlesey in the first round of the FA Cup.

McGoldrick, who has eight goals this season and six in his last six games, is unlikely to be given the green light by parent club Nottingham Forest.

The in-form striker is scheduled to return to the City Ground ahead of Forest's involvement in the competition in January, when a handful of clubs, including the Sky Blues, will be keen to see if he becomes available.

Boss Robins is also waiting for a decision from Derby as to whether striker Ball and midfielder Bailey will be able to feature.

Fellow loanees Jamie Reckord (Wolves), Conor Henderson (Arsenal) and Reece Brown (Manchester United) are understood to have been given permission by their respective parent clubs.

Defender Nathan Cameron is expected to be okay having missed last weekend's 1-0 win at Leyton Orient with a minor twinge.

Arlesey travel hoping to cause an upset.

The Bedfordshire club, who play in the seventh tier of English football, are gearing up for what is arguably the biggest match in their 121-year history on Saturday.

Manager Zema Abbey, a former striker who came up against the Sky Blues on a couple of occasions during his playing career, believes anything could happen.

He said: ``We're in the hat. What I'm trying to say to my lads is if you strip the game down, there have been giant-killings, it is a typical David and Goliath scenario.

``Normally the upsets happen where the non-league side are at home, we are away. We'll obviously go there with a game plan, we'll go there to definitely not lose a game of football. And it's just going to be luck and down to the Gods on the day.''
