Ayr duo John Robertson and Adam Hunter are doubts for the visit of runaway Second Division leaders Queen of the South.
The Honest Men are also again missing long-term absentees Martyn Campbell and Michael McGowan.
Somerset Park player/manager Mark Roberts is hoping 2013 will see his side start to climb higher than eighth place in the table.
``We were poor against Albion on Boxing Day but played really well against Alloa on Saturday,'' he said. ``Hopefully that means we are bouncing back up the way and that we will start putting results together and move up the table.
``The last time Queen's were here we gave them a really tough game before losing 4-2. Hopefully we can play as well as we did then but get a better result.''
Queen of the South will give Willie Gibson a late fitness test after the winger missed Saturday's 3-1 win over Stenhousemuir.
Paul Burns will be absent again due to a knee problem as player/manager Allan Johnston keeps everyone at the club grounded despite an 11-point advantage at the summit of the table.
He said: ``Ayr have a very good group of players so we need to be very wary of them.
``There are still lots of games and points to be played for this season so we will continue to focus on one game at a time, starting at Somerset Park.
``We will go there looking to win with a side that is set up to attack Ayr.''
