Lorient defender Gregory Bourillon has warned his team-mates they cannot afford to rest on their laurels when they host Nice in tomorrow's Ligue 1 clash.
Lorient have made a superb start to the new season and lie third in the standings after winning three and drawing two of their first five games.
That run of results has put them above big-spending Paris St Germain and they will be looking for a third victory in a row against Nice, having claimed the spoils against Nancy and Rennes.
Nice currently sit 11th in the table but head to Stade de Moustoir on the back of their first win of the season against Brest.
The visitors have also picked up three draws and Bourillon knows Lorient will need to be focused.
He said: ``We know what to put in into our matches to beat Nice, we will have to play as a team and be disciplined. If we can manage to do that, there is no reason whey we cannot win the game.
``The start of any season is always a step into the unknown for every club.
``We did not know how we would start, maybe we had better preparation than other clubs but we can be sure of nothing.
``Things are going well and it is up up us to use this run of good form to earn maximum points and hopefully have a good season.
``There is a long way to go, we have played only five matches, but we need to continue in this manner.''
