Alex Dupont is hoping his Ajaccio side will have recovered from their exertions in a 2-0 midweek win against Reims when they take on Ligue 1 bottom club Troyes tomorrow.
The win over Reims gave Corsican side Ajaccio some much-needed breathing space, taking them to 13th place in the league, three points ahead of the relegation zone.
Dupont now wants his team to consolidate their improvement and cash in on their renewed energy by winning their next two games before Christmas, against Troyes tomorrow and Rennes next weekend.
``The midweek win gave us confidence,'' said Dupont. ``But what I have noticed most is the collective behaviour and attitude of the players. They are the basis on which there will always be support.''
Ajaccio face a Troyes side who have won just once in the league this season and are propping up Ligue 1 with just nine points after losing four and drawing one of their last five matches while shipping 12 goals. They went down 2-0 at Evian in midweek.
Troyes coach Jean-Marc Furlan will clutch at some hope in the statistic that Ajaccio have won just one of their last five meetings at the Stade de l'Aube stretching back a decade.
That lone one victory came in a 1-0 win in December 2007.
Defensive frailty has been Troyes' main problem this season following their promotion from Ligue 2, having conceded 35 goals from their 17 league matches.
