Olufade goes through and seems to have the chance to shoot. But he delays for too long and Thuram tidies up.

Diarra goes down in a heap after a challenge. He gets to his feet gingerly and continues.

Now a French free kick, which Sagnol is responsible for. He only finds Agassa.

Senaya curls it in, Sagnol heads it away.

Perhaps that knock has taken its toll on Vieira. He is taken off with Diarra brought on instead.

France, meanwhile, are poised to play Spain in the last 16. Switzerland, as group winners, will face Ukraine.

Trezeguet thinks he is in on goal - but again he is ruled offside.

And Togo's first World Cup is set to end without a point, barring a remarkable fightback.

And it is 2-0 to Switzerland in the other game in the group. Good news for France, now more secure in second place.

France bring on Govou for Ribery.

Adebayor comes off for Togo and Dossevi is his replacement. The striker did limp off.

Trezeguet connects well with his volley from a Silvestre cross. It's off-target though.

On comes Wiltord for Malouda in a switch of two Lyon players.

For once, Sagnol gets a cross all wrong.

Interestingly, the French have been booed by their own crowd in the last few minutes for not being more positive. A little harsh?

Ribery crosses and Agassa, who does command his box, comes out to claim.

Ribery to Vieira, who has been much more attacking in this second half, and that has helped make the difference.

Twenty minutes to go, and they should be comfortable for France now.

And it should have been three. Malouda, to his surprise, found himself onside, looked to supply Trezeguet for the tap-in and it was cut out.

And now, finally, France are in a position where they can stroke the ball around without a concern.

Well done Agassa! He reacted really quickly to come out and block with his legs when Vieira fed Trezeguet through.

The excellent Ribery finds space on the right. His is a dangerous cross, but no one can get on the end of it.

And Togo, you sense, are a beaten team now.

Henry appeals alone and in vain for a penalty for handball against Forson.

Senaya aims it deep and Malouda meets it for France.

Adebayor lays it off to Tchangai, whose shot deflects off Silvestre. Barthez thinks he has prevented the corner. He hasn't.

And now France have one foot in the last 16 and South Korea really need a goal against the Swiss - they can't rely on Togo any more.

That was clinical, Henry shooting on the turn after meeting Vieira's flick-on. The keeper had no chance.

2-0 - it's Henry and surely now France are through.

And if this stays the same, Domenech has to work out how to fit Zidane in.

Now they make a change. Cherif-Toure departs and Olufade is the new man,

And at the moment, Togo could still hold the fate of this group in their hands. Equalise and France are out.

Strong block at the other end from Sagnol as Adebayor shoots.

WHAT A MISS! Sagnol chips his cross into the box, Henry, from eight yards, tries to touch it in and it rolls tamely wide.

A goal on his birthday for the acting captain, and finally France have the lead they require.

Agassa reads the game well to beat Ribery to Henry's through ball.

And now, as it stands, the Swiss will top the group with France also qualifying and South Korea going out.

He lifted it into the roof of the net after neat work by Ribery, who slid the pass into his path.

And it has worked - Vieira with the goal that may send France through.

Thuram brings the ball out from the back in a bid to make something happen. He turned back the clock there.

Both strikers were involved in the build-up, and it was perhaps France's best move of the match.

Fine chance - and Ribery missed it. Malouda rolled the cross to him 12 yards out and he blazed out.

And as it stands, France are going out. Trezeguet has had plenty of shots and Ribery has created some chances, but they still need more creativity and more impetus going forward.

Kader limps off for treatment, and this must be a concern for Pfister.

And Kader himself appears hurt. He was caught by Vieira as he shot.

Kader sets off on a solo run, driving forward between two and shooting with hte outside of his foot. It goes some way over

A tight offside decision as Adebayor closes in on goal. Barthez had come out quickly and bravely anyway.

It's taken quickly, and then Vieira rolls the ball into the path of Henry. He goes past one, but mis-hits his shot.

Vieira wins France a corner off Aziawonou.

Ribery sets off on a solo run until he bumps into Adebayor, back helping out.

Ribery himself takes it. He picks out Trezeguet in space, but his low shot is deflected away from danger.

However, Ribery is dragged down by Forson. A good chance to cross here.

A Togo move breaks down but already it doesn't seem as though France have come out with all guns blazing.

First Kader and then Gallas lose their footing in the French box. Thuram doesn't, and he comes away with the ball.

Togo kick off the second half, on course for their first ever point in the World Cup.

Half-time. Entertaining but goalless and that is not enough for France right now. Togo, however, have been tough opponents.

But Agasso comes out to catch the corner.

Henry finds Malouda in space. His cross is aimed at the two strikers and Abolo does well to get back and head behind.

Another corner for the French as Nidombe clears behind.

Vieira closes down Cherif-Toure, wins the ball and the Togolese tugs him back. Yellow card.

Very good block from Nidombe as Henry shoots. Then Silvestre crosses deep and not even the stretching Henry can keep it in.

... and doesn't. A miraculous recovery from Agassa, and then the offside flag went up anyway.

Confusion in the Togo box briefly as Henry crosses before Nidombe clears.

Now Aziawonou picks up a yellow card for chopping down Vieira.

Salifou breaks forward and then Aziawonou scuffs his shot. Togo do have real pace on the break, and you wonder how good they could have been.

Nidombe appears to foul Trezeguet from behind. The referee disagrees.

Trezeguet slides a pass to send Henry clear, but the offside flag is raised. No defender would have caught him otherwise.

Ribery takes, the keeper punches away. Then it comes back to Ribery who cuts into the area, drills a low cross and Agassa clings on as Trezeguet challenges.

Almost an own goal. Ribery crosses, Nidombe gets a foot on it and it goes just past the post.

Tchangai heads the corner away at the near post.

Vieira lines up a shot, which he strikes well. It clips the head of Abolo and goes over.

Cherif-Toure belts the free kick over the bar. Not too impressive.

Salifou strolls away from two and finds Senaya, who is eventually brought down by Makelele, who is booked.

A lively game so far with both teams looking fallible at the back, and decent in attack.

And at the other end, a brilliant chance - and Ribery slices it over the bar. He was unmarked.

Salifou breaks forward, has a go on his left foot and Barthez parries, rather unconvingly.

Henry turns and finds Malouda and crosses. Agassa is again out well to catch. He's certainly looking commanding.

Silvestre intercepts as Senaya takes a rather flamboyant tumble.

And in the group's other game, Senderos has given Switzerland the lead. Good news for the French.

A corner is aimed at Gallas, but headed away at the near post.

Salifou rather chops down Ribery and is somewhat fortunate to escape a yellow card.

Silvestre latches on to a loose ball on the edge of the box. He drills a low effort that Agassa again holds well.

Trezeguet has a great chance... and he sidefoots it straight at the keeper. More fluent build-up, with Ribery supplying the pass.

Trezeguet wins another header in the Togo cross, but again he can't quite control it.

Kader hassles and harries Sagnol, but the defender keeps his cool to clear.

Fine move from the Togolese until Makelele, typically, gets a foot in.

Trezeguet gets his head to Sagnol's left-footed cross, but it goes off for a goal kick.

Terrible goal kick, but Nidombe comes to the rescue of Agassa.

Silvestre feeds a pass down the line for Malouda, but Senaya is back to halt the move when it comes back to Silvestre.

Ribery on a winding run, then he toe-pokes his shot from 20 yards. Agassa dives on it.

Dreadful shot! But Henry was offside anyway. Just as well - he completely misdjudged the angle to goal when he reached Sagnol's cross.

Malouda has a crack from distance and Agassa clings on really well.

Henry started a wonderful move, sliding a pass to Ribery. He could, but opted to pass to Trezeguet, who may have been level, but the flag was up.

Now Senaya wallops a shot over the bar. Ambitious, if nothing else.

Really lively start at both ends and it promises much for the rest of the game.

Kader cuts in and shoots and Barthez parries it well. Good effort from Togo.

Henry drifts past Tchangai, who gets back to concede a corner.

Shot on the turn from Trezeguet, and it's not far wide. It came from a typical Henry move, drifting out wide to set up a chance.

An early concern for France as Vieira is down, holding his ankle. Aziawonou lost his footing and slid into him.

Malouda now finds Henry on the left. He picks out Silvestre, but his deflected cross is simple for Agassa.

France start on the front foot with Malouda crossing low. Abalo clears.

France get the game underway with their reunited strikers starting the match.

Togo are already out, but can they cause a shock and knock France out?

Apart from on French soil, France haven't won a match in the World Cup for 20 years. If that record doesn't end, they'll be going home early.

Trezeguet joins Henry in attack for France, while Zidane and Abidal are banned.
