Fonseca weaves his way through, past two but not the third - another fine tackle by Kali.

Bravo gets a good header to Morales' cross from about 15 yards. It just drops wide with Ricardo scrambling across his goal.

Angola's last change - Miloy on for Ze Kalanga.

Mexico really should be ahead. Arellano chips forward, Fonseca has a volley from eight yards - and it is tame and wide.

Now Angola will surely just try to hold on to their draw.

And a red card. Macanga gets it for a needless deliberate handball. It's his second booking.

Sanchez punches the corner away, none too convincingly.

Meanwhile, Mexico bring off Pineda for the winger Morales in their final change.

Macanga releases Ze Kalanga down the right and this time Angola do win a corner.

Sanchez reacts quickly to gather a deflected Ze Kalanga cross and prevent a corner.

Mendez plays a one-two with Pardo, gets in the box and Kali makes a really important tackle as he is about to shoot.

Another corner for Mexico which Pardo places nicely for Ricardo to take.

Now La Volpe makes a swap, Fonseca replacing Franco, and Mexico desperately need a goal from someone.

Rui Marques comes on for Figueiredo in Angola's second change.

Mexico aren't helping themselves. Pineda chips the ball aimlessly out.

Figueiredo twists and turns to keep the ball and this is what Angola need to carry on doing, rather than all retreating into defence.

Marquez chips it over the wall, Arellano seems to lose it in the flight and it goes out for a goal kick.

Marquez wins a free kick within shooting range.

It's curled in to the near post, Jamba scrambles it away and the second cross was claimed by Ricardo.

Arellano wins Mexico a corner that Pardo comes across to take. Ricardo, not convicingly, flaps at it and it goes behind.

Angola bring on a second striker, Pedro Mantorras, for Mateus.

Now Pineda swings in a cross, three compete for it but it falls for the goalkeeper.

Fine chance for Omar Bravo, and he spurns it with a really tame toe-poke. It came from a panicky clearance from Kali, booting the ball into a team-mate.

Arellano crosses from the right and Ricardo, a tad eccentric, comes out to claim one-handed.

Pardo tries a deft chip over the Angolan defence. He only finds the head of Loco.

Arellano goes for the slide-rule pass, but none of his team-mates were expecting it.

Akwa tries a solo run and opts to run straight into traffic. Not his brightest move.

It could have been even worse for them as Akwa loses the flight of a cross.

Even Marquez gives the ball away and this certainly isn't going to plan for Mexico.

Now Bravo takes a tumble in the box. The ref waves play on, and there are few complaints.

And Angola, after that alarm a few minutes back, pass the ball around and regain their composure.

But Angola counter-attack, only for Figueiredo to blaze over from 30 yards.

Jamba is down for Angola now, and it provides Angola with a welcome break.

Now a free kick for Pardo t curl in and Kali, not for the first time, heads it away.

But here's Franco with a great chance, meeting Arellano's header. He goes for the lob as Sanchez advances, the keeper gets a hand to it. Then he has a second chance - and Delgado gets it off the line.

Fierce shot from distance from Mendonca, but straight at the keeper.

Marquez comes forward again and he is showing Mexico how to be positive, but Mendez slips as he is about to receive the ball.

Loco goes for one of the silliest shots of the tournament so far. Needless to say, it doesn't trouble the keeper.

Zinha goes off for Mexico and is replaced by Jesus Arellano

Marquez switches it to Salcido on the left. His cross is well taken by Ricardo, and it needed to be.

Marquez plays a one-two with Mendez, gets to the byline and gets a cross in. Marquez is giving Mexico impetus here.

Ze Kalanga is booked for a tackle on Marquez, who certainly makes the most of it.

Pardo takes, Kali heasd away at the near post, and Mexico's corners have produced little so far.

Marquez finds room on the right to drill a low cross, Franca goes down in the middle, but Mexico get a corner and not a penalty.

Zinha finds Franco heading for the corner flag. Then Mendez crosses, but it is simple for Kali to get it away.

Zinha is involved again, but a reverse pass seems to baffle both his strikers.

Pineda whips in a cross, Zinha gets into the box unmarked, but his first touch is poor.

Well, what will La Volpe have done? He often changes tactics. Will it be the same Mexico in the second half? Angola get it underway.

That's half time, and Angola are worth parity so far, even though Marquez hit the post.

Mateus whips in an inviting cross but Akwa just jumps underneath it and fails to make contact.

Two additional minutes to be added in the first half.

Salcido volleys a cross, Kali just gets a foot in and that takes it away from Franco at the back post.

And a great chance. Franco, on the turn, gets his shot in and Ricardo blocks. He had got on the end of a Marquez cross.

That means Jamba is out of the Iran game. Meanwhile, Franco loses otu to Mendonca.

Ze Kalanga's cross is cut out by Marquez, who plays a one-two with Pardo and is chopped down by Jamba. Booking.

Realy frustrating first half for the Mexicans, who have lacked a cutting edge so far. Angola, in contrast, are increasingly confident.

Delgado takes it short, gets it back and is offside.

Marquez beats Mateus in the air to Akwa's cross, but it goes behind. Corner.

Mateus breaks forward and tries to link up with Akwa. A bit more ambition has been shown by the Angolans.

Delgado comes across to take another Angola corner, Akwa jumps but can't make contact and Mexico breathe a sigh of relief.

Figueiredo spreads play well to Loco. Marquez heads away but Angola continue to press.

Franco loses out to Mendonca and then brings him down in frustration.

Mendonca takes, Sanchez punches away unconvincingly but Mexico then clear.

Another corner for Angola, conceded by Marquez in an aerial challenge with Akwa.

Marquez is coming further and further forward in a bid to make things happen for Mexico.

Franco's cross is spilled by Ricardo and Jamba tidies up. Just as well he did - that was more poor handling by the keeper.

Figueiredo chips it in to Akwa who heads powerfully just over the bar. A good chance for the captain.

A chance for Angola as Mendonca is caught on the edge of the box by Salcido.

Marquez, with a terrific 50-yard pass, spreads play to Pineda, but he then loses out to Ze Kalanga and fouls the Angolan.

Franco robs Mendonca, comes forward purposefully but misplaces his pass.

Bravo tries to chest it down to Franco in the box. Jamba intercepts.

Rather odd effort from Mendonca, going for a shot from 45 yards. Sanchez wasn't even off his line.

Zinha shoots on the turn with a clever curler. Wide, but not by much.

Mendonca takes a fast bowler's run-up, whacks in and gets plenty of power on the shot. It wasn't far wide.

A better spell for the Angolans as Loko turns to win a free kick 40 yards from goal.

Now Macanga has a crack from long range. Again, it's not far over.

Now Figueiredo has a crack from 25 yards but it's way over.

Figueiredo is back up and wins a corner. It is aimed at Akwa but turned away.

Another stoppage as Figueiredo goes down after a tackle by Franco.

Only a couple of alarms for Angola in these first 20 minutes, though they've yet to support the striker Akwa much.

A spell on the ball for Mexico is ended when Pardo turns into trouble.

Another free kick and Pardo, as is often the case, is behind it. He curls it to the back post, Ricardo comes out and spills it, but there is no Mexican there to take advantage.

Ze Kalanga, back up again, goes on a run on the right, but there is no way through.

Another free kick in a promising position. Marquez thumps it and in rebounds back off the post - so close.

Marquez brings the ball comfortably out of defence, he passes to Zinha whose advance is curtailed by Delgado. Yellow card.

Torrado picks out Franco, but he is tackled on the turn and the Mexicans are yet to get much possession in the final third.

Pardo takes it and Ricardo comes across his goal to claim.

Jamba brings down Franco in shooting range. Chance for Mexico.

Stop-start beginning to this match, which probably suits the underdogs, except that it is one of their players who may have to be taken off.

Ze Kalanga, having returned, is down again and holding his right leg.

Salcido chips forward looking for Pineda, but he slips.

Mexico, often tactically flexible, seem to be starting with a back four today.

At the other end, Figueirdo's cross falls straight to Sanchez.

Pardo feeds it in and it goes straight to the keeper Ricardo.

Marquez goes down over an outstretched leg of Akwa. Then Franco wins a free kick. A chance for Mexico to do something from the set piece.

The match is stopped for some treatment to Ze Kalanga, who has gone down in apparent pain.

Angola have their first attack, but it braeks down on the edge of the Mexico box.

Salcido has a crack from 30 yards, it dips and lands on the roof of the net. Good effort.
