Tottenham Hotspur working on new Danny Rose contract - sources

Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose is the latest player in line for a new deal at White Hart Lane, sources close to the player have told ESPN FC.

Tottenham are working on securing the futures of a number of their top stars as Mauricio Pochettino looks to keep hold of his young, exciting squad.

Eric Dier and Christian Eriksen have both signed new long-term contracts this month and the club are hopeful of tying down Rose to a contract extension, while talks are also ongoing with Kyle Walker.

England international Rose, 26, is currently Tottenham's longest-serving player and he has established himself as a key member of the side for club and country over the last couple of seasons.

Rose joined Tottenham from Leeds United in 2007 and after spells out on loan at Watford, Peterborough, Bristol City and Sunderland he became a regular in the Tottenham side in the 2013-14 season.

Rose signed a new five-year deal at Tottenham in the summer of 2014, but the club are keen to reward him for his progress with lucrative fresh terms with the defender now first-choice left-back for club and country after starting for England at Euro 2016.
