Mauro Icardi not ruling out Inter Milan transfer exit in summer

Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi has alerted clubs to his possible availability this summer by saying he is open to offers.

With Inter slipping seven points adrift of third-placed Roma following a 1-0 defeat at Genoa, Icardi refused to rule out leaving the Nerazzurri in search of Champions League football next season, although he did not explicitly say he wants to leave.

"I'm here to win with this club, but if any offers come in, then we have got to talk about them with the club or with whoever deals with it," the Inter captain told Mediaset. "I'm just thinking about playing."

With four games of the season remaining, Inter need to overturn that seven-point deficit on Roma to clinch Serie A's final Champions League berth next season, otherwise Inter will have the Europa League to look forward to again next season.

"While it is still mathematically possible, we'll keep trying, even though the Champions League is practically gone now," Icardi said. "There are four games to go and we've got to try our best, even if we're fighting with Roma, who are a very strong side.

"We just weren't clinical enough in front of goal and this has been our problem all season. We didn't deserve to lose today, but we didn't score in spite of all the chances we created."

Inter host Udinese on Saturday night before travelling to Lazio, entertaining Empoli and concluding the season with a trip to Sassuolo.
