Monaco's Radamel Falcao available on loan for €20 million

Monaco's Radamel Falcao could receive several offers before the transfer window closes on Monday, as several sources have told ESPN FC that a number of elite European clubs are willing to take him on loan this season.

The Ligue 1 club are keen to get Falcao's high wages off the payroll due to a restructuring of the first team, and have offered him to some of the continent's biggest outfits.

So far, all of Real Madrid, Chelsea, Juventus and Arsenal are contemplating signing the Colombian to solve their attacking issues.

Monaco have set a fee of 20 million euros to take Falcao on loan for a season.

Real are seen as the most likely destination given their long-term interest in the player, but they could yet face significant competition.

Chelsea were given a scare by Diego Costa's muscle injury in training on Wednesday, emphasising how limited their striking options are.

Jose Mourinho currently has too many foreign players in his squad for Premier League regulations, but the anticipated loans of Fernando Torres and Mario van Ginkel to AC Milan could finally free up space for the Portuguese to purchase the extra forward he has long sought.

Sources have stated Chelsea are also interested in Roma's Mattia Destro and Paris Saint-Germain's Edinson Cavani, but the complications involved in those purchases could mean Falcao represents an easier option, especially in the short term.

Arsenal have similar forward issues with Olivier Giroud's fractured tibia, but Arsene Wenger said "no" to questions over whether he would purchase the Colombian after their 1-0 victory over Besiktas.

Sources have stated that Arsenal are mulling a move, but the terms may still prove too expensive for them.
