West Ham United are confident of securing the loan signing of Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart, sources close to the Hammers have told ESPN FC. Hart does not figure in Pep Guardiola's plans going forward at the Etihad Stadium after spending last season on loan at Torino. City were initially hoping to sell Hart this summer in a permanent deal, but there have been no takers because of the cost of signing the England international on a permanent transfer. West Ham have indicated they would only be prepared to take Hart on loan, and sources said a compromise has now been agreed between both clubs. Hart is also open to the idea of joining of West Ham as he wants to be playing regularly next season to safeguard his place in the England squad ahead of next summer's World Cup finals in Russia, sources said. The 30-year-old still has two years to run on his contract at City and should he impress on loan at West Ham the move could become permanent. Securing Hart for next season would come as a massive boost to Slaven Bilic's side as the goalkeeping spot with a problematic position for West Ham last season with Darren Randolph and Adrian struggling to nail down the No.1 shirt.
