Hoffenheim praise Bayern's Serge Gnabry amid loan speculation

Hoffenheim sporting director Alexander Rosen has described Bayern Munich's Serge Gnabry as an "exciting player," amid reports that they could take the winger on loan.

Having joined Werder Bremen from Arsenal last summer, Gnabry, 21, moved on to Bayern last month following 27 Bundesliga appearances and 11 goals.

However, despite signing a three-year contract at the Allianz Arena, the Germany international could still end up on loan at Hoffenheim -- a club strongly linked with Gnabry prior to his move to Bayern.

Speaking to Sport Bild, Rosen confirmed the club were interested the player earlier this summer, saying: "Certainly, Serge Gnabry is an exciting player. But it's a fact that if Bayern are calling, no club in Germany can keep up."

However, Hoffenheim remain interested in Gnabry, who will join his new Bayern teammates following his summer holiday, which is due to begin after Germany's European Under-21 Championship final against Spain on Friday.

Schalke and Hertha BerlinĀ are also both reportedly interested in taking the player on loan, and, along with Hoffenheim, would offer him the chance to gain regular football and experience next term.

Last week, Hoffenheim and Germany U21 midfielder Nadiem Amiri said that he would be "very, very happy" if Gnabry were to join his side.

When asked about a potential loan move, Gnabry said last week: "I am a Bayern Munich player. That's it. I am fed up with this question."
