Real Madrid's Federico Valverde makes Deportivo La Coruna loan move

Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde will join Deportivo La Coruna on loan for next season, the Galician club have announced.

Valverde, 18, scored three goals in 30 appearances for Real's Castilla team last season, helping the team finish 11th in the Segunda B division.

A Deportivo statement said: "Federicio Valverde will wear the Depor jersey for the 2017-18 campaign after the agreement reached with Real Madrid, a loan deal with no option to buy."

Valverde is under contract at the Bernabeu until 2021, and president Florentino Perez told Onda Cero earlier this week: "I think it is good that he joins Deportivo or another club. We need our young talents to play lots of games."

Real paid Uruguayan club Penarol a reported €5 million for Valverde in May 2015.

He played for Uruguay at the Under-20 World Cup in South Korea, winning the Silver Ball as the competition's second best player behind Dominic Solanke of England.
