Liverpool reject €12.5m Napoli bid for Alberto Moreno - source

Liverpool have rejected a €12.5 million (£11m) offer from Napoli for Alberto Moreno, a source has told ESPN FC.

Moreno, 24, is likely to depart from Anfield this summer, having found himself behind James Milner in the left-back pecking order.

Serie A side Napoli's approach for Moreno was dismissed by Liverpool as it did not meet their valuation of the player.

Sources say Liverpool are determined to recoup more than the £12m they paid Sevilla in August 2014 for Moreno from any potential sale this summer.

Both AC Milan and Inter Milan enquired about the Spaniard in April, while interest from La Liga is emerging.

Moreno made just two starts in the Premier League last season, as he was not favoured by manager Jurgen Klopp.

He made 18 appearances in all competitions -- 10 of which came from the substitutes' bench -- throughout the 2016-17 campaign.

Meanwhile, Roma winger Mohamed Salah looks set to become Liverpool's second signing of the summer, after Dominic Solanke, as he undergoes a medical on Thursday ahead of a €39m move.
