Sampdoria's Patrik Schick undergoes Juventus medical ahead of move

Sampdoria forward Patrik Schick arrived in Turin on Thursday morning to undergo a medical a head of a proposed move to Juventus this summer.

The Czech Republic forward, who helped his country to a 3-1 win over Italy at the European Under-21 Championship on Wednesday evening, flew from Poland to Turin on Thursday morning for a quick medical before returning to international duty.

He is expected to be confirmed as Juve's first summer signing, although it is not yet clear whether he will play for them next season. Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero still hopes to be able to keep the player in Genoa on loan next season.

"Patrik Schick has this morning arrived at J Medical," a statement on Juventus' official website read. "The Czech attacker, born in 1996 and involved with his under-21 national team at the European Under-21 Championship in Poland, is undergoing a medical visit right now at the clinic located on the east side of the Allianz Stadium."

The 21-year-old scored 11 goals in 32 games of his first season in Serie A after joining the Sampdoria from Sparta Prague only a year ago for a fee of €4 million. They are now reportedly in line to receive €25 million for his sale this summer.
