Borussia Dortmund's Ousmane Dembele happy amid Barca interest

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ousmane Dembele has said he is not thinking about a transfer amid reported interest from Barcelona, but added that his goal is to play for them one day.

Attacking midfielder Dembele, 20, scored the winner in France's 3-2 friendly victory over England and told reporters afterwards: "Last year, I had contact with the Barcelona sporting director [Robert Fernandez].

"But I'm feeling good in Dortmund. I have a contract until 2021, and I'm not paying attention to what is being said."

Dembele moved to Dortmund from Rennes last summer and has enjoyed an impressive maiden season in Germany, scoring 10 goals in all competitions.

Meanwhile, Maximilian Philip, who joined Dortmund from Freiburg this summer, said he had nearly ended up at Bayern Munich as a teenager.

The 23-year-old told Sport Bild: "[Bayern Munich assistant manager] Herrmann Gerland discovered me on a visit to Berlin during a derby between Hertha and Tennis Borussia, in which I scored two goals.

"I was 17 back then, and he invited me to train with the under-19s. He was the first to tell me that I could make it.

"In the end, nothing came of it because I picked up a muscle strain in training."
