Everton striker Romelu Lukaku claims 'agreement' with unnamed new club

Everton's Romelu Lukaku says he and his agent "have an agreement" with another club, though the striker said he intends to remain in the Premier League.

Lukaku, 24, continues to be linked with a move away from Everton, with Chelsea, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Juventus all reportedly interested in signing him this summer.

The Belgium international, who stalled on signing a new Everton deal in March and has still yet to commit his future to the club, says a decision on his future has already been made.

"My agent knows what's going to happen and I know as well," Lukaku told Sky Sports. "I'm staying calm and we have an agreement with the club as well. We stay calm and at least we have a direction where we want to go.

"I'm just going to rest for a few days and then just prepare for next season. I want to put the time in on my holiday to take everything to another level and be better than I was last year."

Speaking to reporters in Belgium while on international duty, Lukaku, who said staying at Everton is not really an option, added: "I know what's happening. But I can't tell you anything more. I know what's happening, but I will leave the talks to my agent.

"The most important thing is I want to win trophies. We are now talking to the club. As for the rest, I'm looking ahead. What I would like most is to play is in the Champions League and try to win the Premier League once. Or better, a few times. That would be the most beautiful thing.

"That's important for my progress as a player. I don't want to stay at the same level. I want to improve and I know where I want to do that."

Asked if he could be talking about United, given his agent Mino Raiola's previous dealings with the club, Lukaku said: "I'm the player, I will take the decisions."

Further asked about his future, the former West Brom player replied: "At the moment the Premier League is the best league for me.

"After six years I know the league through and through. I want to reach the 100-goal mark."

Meanwhile, Michy Batshuayi has said he enjoyed the experience of playing up front alongside Lukaku for Belgium in the 2-1 friendly victory over Czech Republic on Monday in the absence of the injured Eden Hazard.
