Marco Verratti happy at PSG but Blaise Matuidi undecided on future

Marco Verratti says he expects to be a Paris Saint-Germain player next season, but teammate Blaise Matuidi has made "no decision so far" about his own future at the club.

Verratti, 24, has been linked with a move to join Barcelona but the Italy international is not looking to leave PSG unless the club decide to sell him.

"It's the club that decides, but I think I'll be there [next season]," he said. "Afterwards we will talk with the club like every year.

"I still have four years of contract and I do not think to leave. I am very happy to be a part of this project and I have always said that winning with PSG is different from winning with all the other teams because I have been here for five years and I would really like to win something very important here at Paris."

Although PSG didn't retain the Ligue 1 title Verratti is happy with how his game has developed under Unai Emery.

"I think I have made progress," Verratti said. "We have a very demanding coach, who always wants a good game and attack. I think I also improved thanks to him.

"Mentally this season was hard, but I am very happy to finish with a trophy and happy for Max that he can finish with a trophy, he already has many. I am very happy."

Meanwhile, Matuidi, who was linked with a move to join Juventus last summer, did not give assurances when asked what may happen, although he did say he has an offer from PSG.

"I don't know yet," he said. "I am feeling good in Paris. It's hard as you don't know the real position of the club.

"PSG made a proposition to me. They are open to everything when it comes to me. There is no decision taken so far."
