Sampdoria to keep Patrik Schick despite Napoli, AC Milan approaches

Sampdoria president Massimo Ferraro says Napoli and AC Milan have made approaches for Patrik Schick but insists the Czech Republic forward will stay at the club.

Schick, who has a contract through to 2020, has also been linked with Juventus and Borussia Dortmund but Ferraro said he has no intention of cashing in this summer.

"Everybody wants Schick," he said in La Gazzetta dello Sport. "Two clubs have called me about him: Napoli and AC Milan, while other clubs are following him in different ways, but he's going to stay here with us for another year."

Schick joined Samp from Sparta Prague last July and he has caught the eye in his first season in Serie A, scoring 11 goals.

"Samp are keeping a tight hold of him but if somebody does want him, then the option they have is to leave him here with us for another season," Ferraro said. "There's the sun and the sea here -- I don't see why he would want to go anywhere else."
