Frankfurt's Jesus Vallejo is 'ready' to play for Real Madrid - Omar Mascarell

Jesus Vallejo is ready to show what he can do for the Real Madrid first team, according to his current Eintracht Frankfurt teammate Omar Mascarell.

Vallejo, 20, joined Madrid from hometown club Real Zaragoza in 2015, and the defender has been earning rave reviews on loan at Bundesliga club Frankfurt this season.

Frankfurt are open to extending his loan deal for another season at least, although a space in the Madrid senior squad could open up with defender Pepe, 34, set to leave the club this summer unless his contract is extended.

Former Real Madrid Castilla midfielder Mascarell said in AS that it was widely believed that Vallejo would be back at the Bernabeu for 2017-18 where he would improve by training and playing with the best players in the world.

"In Germany we all think that Vallejo will go to Madrid for next season," Mascarell said. "He has incredible potential. If he goes to Madrid, training with the best players in the world every day, he can go a long way. He is ready to get playing time at Madrid and, if he gets a chance, can show the good player that he is."

Spain under-21 international Vallejo has generally kept quiet over his immediate plans, while telling interviewers that his long-term aim is to triumph at Madrid.
