Monaco's Kylian Mbappe should note Anthony Martial struggles - Djorkaeff

World Cup winner Youri Djorkaeff has warned Kylian Mbappe to take note of Anthony Martial's situation at Manchester United before deciding on his future.

Monaco forward Mbappe has been linked with Manchester United, Real Madrid, Arsenal and Chelsea after scoring 19 times for the Ligue 1 leaders this season.

But Djorkaeff told Le Figaro Mbappe should note that Martial, once of Monaco, has made only 11 Premier League starts for United this season after an impressive debut campaign.

"If I were the president of PSG, I would sign him -- but I wouldn't be the only one," the former France international said.

"He has extraordinary potential. He needs to be in the best conditions. Look at Martial -- when you go to a big club, you have to also adapt and discover something different.

"Mbappe has to be careful about all that. He has good support around him, but it's certain he won't want for offers in the weeks to come."

Djorkaeff's advice echoed that of Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema, who said he had struggled to adapt after moving from Lyon in 2009.

Benzema said Mbappe should stay at the Stade Louis II for now.

"Football is really hard, especially at big clubs," he said. "I arrived at Madrid at 21. I had already done a lot of things at Lyon, but when I got here I got a slap in the face.

"My first year was too difficult. You're far from your family, it's not the same. I think you mustn't leave too soon."
