Alexandre Lacazette's agent has denied a report in Spain claiming the Lyon forward had agreed to join Atletico Madrid in the summer. On Tuesday, Cadena Cope reported that Lacazette and agent David Venditelli had met Atletico chief executive Miguel Angel Gil in February. It claimed Lacazette had verbally agreed to join them and added that Atletico's Antoine Griezmann had given the club "phenomenal references" about his fellow France international. However, reports in France said Venditelli had told Le Progres newspaper that he and Lacazette, rated at more than €40 million, had not made a trip to Madrid. He also claimed "other clubs than Atletico but of the same standing in Europe are interested in Lacazette." Last month, 25-year-old Lacazette said he felt the summer would be "the moment for a change of scenery, always with the idea of moving forward and improving." Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas claimed earlier this season he had received a €70 million bid for Lacazette, who has been linked with Arsenal, Liverpool and West Ham.
