Liverpool could lose young midfielder Adam Phillips - sources

Liverpool risk losing highly rated youngster Adam Phillips this summer, sources close to the player have told ESPN FC.

Phillips, 19, is out of contract at Anfield this summer and no new deal has been agreed as of yet.

A number of Liverpool's Premier League rivals and several teams from abroad are monitoring his contract situation and are ready to move for him if he does not sign a new deal on Merseyside.

The midfielder joined Liverpool from Blackburn Rovers at the age of 11 and has progressed through the youth ranks at the club.

Phillips has yet to make his first-team debut for Liverpool, but was on the bench for last season's Europa League clash with Bordeaux.

The England youth international has been tipped as one of the most exciting young talents at Liverpool, but has seen his progress hindered by two stress fractures in his back in the last 12 months.

Phillips, however, is now back to full fitness and looking to get his career back on track.
