Monaco vice-president vows to keep hold of teen sensation Kylian Mbappe

Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev has said striker Kylian Mbappe is not for sale after he helped secure a 3-1 Champions League second-leg victory over Manchester City.

Mbappe, 18, opened the scoring in the eighth minute before Fabinho doubled the lead for the hosts. Leroy Sane reduced the deficit in the second half but Tiemoue Bakayoko's 77th-minute goal sealed a 6-6 aggregate win on away goals.

It was Mbappe's 11th goal in 11 matches and there have been talks of the youngster being on the radar of some of Europe's biggest clubs.

Vasilyev quickly diffused the speculation and said the forward is staying at the club for the foreseeable future.

"Our intention is to keep Mbappe," Vasilyev told RTL.

"Mbappe is a product of our youth academy. He is our DNA. I am very proud.

"We have a real team. The first half was excellent -- the sort of performance that the very top teams make."
