Moussa Sissoko says he is staying at Tottenham but still settling in

Moussa Sissoko has said his future is at Tottenham Hotspur but added that he is still adjusting to life at the club.

The France international, 27, joined Spurs in a £30 million deal from Newcastle United on transfer deadline day, equalling the club's record outlay, but has started just 10 of a possible 44 games so far.

He has faced public criticism from manager Mauricio Pochettino, who suggested he had not lived up to expectations.

There has already been speculation that Tottenham could be prepared to let Sissoko go, with AC Milan having been linked with a move for him.

But he told beIN SPORTS: "My future is at Tottenham and I'm trying to give my best. I'm trying to learn because I have to get used to a new style of playing in a new team."

Meanwhile, Tottenham's Cameron Carter-Vickers, 19, has said he is determined to prove Pochettino is right to have confidence in him.

In September, Pochettino said Carter-Vickers had the potential to become one the best defenders in England, and the U.S. youth international told NBC: "It's inspiring -- and you see from players older than you that there's definitely a pathway.

"Harry Kane is a great example. He's very professional on and off the pitch. Players that come from the academy take you under their wing and show you the ropes."
