West Ham reject Chinese Super League bids for Andy Carroll - sources

West Ham United have rejected bids from three Chinese Super League clubs for striker Andy Carroll, sources close to the club have told ESPN FC.

Tianjin Quanjian, Hebei China Fortune and Shandong Luneng have all made bids for the England international as they look to bolster their attacking options before the close of the Chinese transfer window on Tuesday.

However, West Ham have rejected the offers as selling Carroll now would mean they would not be able to bring in a replacement with the European transfer window already closed.

Sources have also told ESPN FC that Carroll is happy at West Ham and is not interested in making a move to China at this stage of his career.

Carroll has been in good form of late with four goals in his last four games in another injury-hit campaign for the Hammers.

The 28-year-old missed three months of action earlier this season with a knee injury which has restricted him to just 12 Premier League appearances so far this term.

Carroll's time at West Ham has been blighted with injuries after initially joining on loan from Liverpool in 2012 before making the move permanent in the summer of 2013.

The former Newcastle forward is currently sidelined with a groin injury, but the club are hopeful he will return to action for next Monday's clash with Premier League leaders Chelsea.
