Chelsea target Sead Kolasinac to decide future - agent

Sead Kolasinac's agent says the Schalke wing-back is set to make a decision on his future in the near future, with Chelsea having made an approach last month.

Kolasinac, 23, is out of contract in the summer but Schalke confirmed they had dismissed an enquiry from Chelsea in January, while WAZ reports that Tottenham, Juventus and Inter Milan are also interested.

Schalke have reportedly offered Kolasinac a significant increase on his current salary and the club's sporting executive, Christian Heidel, said the player needs to make a "timely decision" to ensure he can properly focus over the coming months.

Kolasinac's agent, Gordon Stipic, told WAZ: "I have taken note of Mr Heidel's statement, but I have my own opinion."

He added: "We will make a decision soon."

Meanwhile, Kolasinac fractured his nose in the 1-1 draw at Cologne on Sunday, and is facing a race against time to return to full fitness for the match against high-flying Hoffenheim on Sunday.

Schalke are currently 10th in the Bundesliga, and with only 26 points from 21 matches have to beat fourth-ranked Hoffenheim to maintain their slim hopes of returning to Europe next season.

On Wednesday, Schalke host PAOK Saloniki in the second leg of the Europa League round of 32, having won 3-0 in Greece.

Next week, Schalke travel to Bayern Munich in the quarterfinal of the DFB Pokal.
