Monaco's Tiemoue Bakayoko would not turn down Paris Saint-Germain

Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko has told Le Parisien he would not reject a move to his childhood club Paris Saint-Germain.

Bakayoko, 22, has attracted attention from a host of European clubs including Manchester United and Chelsea.

The France under-21 international grew up in Paris but came through the youth ranks at Rennes before moving to Monaco.

"If the opportunity presents itself, I would not refuse to sign for PSG," he said. "However, I am still only 22 years old and I feel very good with Monaco."

Bakayoko said he had been given the chance to join the PSG youth setup but was persuaded by his father and brother to move to Rennes instead.

"The opportunity to join PSG's youth academy was proposed. However, my father and my brother chose Rennes, the best youth academy at the time," he said.

"Not joining PSG really hurt -- I even had tears in my eyes."

Monaco are three points clear of PSG at the top of the table and face Manchester City in the Champions League on Tuesday.
