Arturo Vidal happy at Bayern Munich amid reported Chelsea interest

Arturo Vidal has told Sport Bild that rumours he could leave Bayern Munich for Chelsea are wide of the mark.

Vidal, 29, worked with Chelsea boss Antonio Conte at Juventus but says he has no intention of reuniting with the former Italy coach in London.

"They are only rumours that come about quickly," he said. "Ultimately, I played four very successful years under coach Conte at Juventus [from 2011-2014].

"But there's no reason for me to leave Bayern. I wear this jersey with pride. I feel good, my wife feels good and the children are happy. And I still have big goals in Munich."

One of those goals is to win the Champions League, a trophy that has so far eluded him.

Vidal, who is known for his warrior-like attributes in midfield, has called on his Bayern teammates to follow his lead in order to beat Arsenal in the Champions League round of 16 and take a step closer to European success.

"We don't need a warrior against Arsenal -- we need to be 11 warriors," he said. "We want to show that we're one of the best teams in the world and absolutely want to win the Champions League.

"I want to hold this trophy in my hands. That's the dream of every player. But it's probably the hardest trophy to win in club football."
