Chelsea ready to sell Asmir Begovic to Bournemouth - sources

Chelsea are ready to sell Asmir Begovic to Bournemouth as they are drawing up a list of potential replacements, sources close to the Premier League leaders have told ESPN FC.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte confirmed last week Chelsea had received an offer for Begovic and that they were considering the bid.

Sources have now told ESPN FC that Chelsea are now ready to accept the offer and are looking at a replacement for Begovic.

Begovic has started just four games for Chelsea this season with Thibaut Courtois No. 1 keeper at Stamford Bridge.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina international joined Chelsea from Stoke City in 2015, but he has been unable to usurp Courtois on a permanent basis.

Bournemouth are keen to sign Begovic before the close of the transfer window as Eddie Howe looks to sort out his side's defensive problems and he is ready to make the 29-year-old their first-choice keeper ahead of Artur Boruc.

Should Chelsea let Begovic move on it would leave them with only Portugal international Eduardo, who joined last summer from Dinamo Zagreb, as cover for Courtois and sources have told ESPN FC that they would ideally like to bring in another goalkeeper with Premier League experience to replace Begovic if they are to let him go.
