Real Madrid are leading the chase for AIK Solna forward Alexander Isak -- dubbed by the media as the new Zlatan Ibrahimovic -- according to reports in Spain.
Isak, 17, is also being linked with Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and West Ham United after scoring 10 goals in his first 24 senior games in the Swedish Allsvenskan.
Marca reports that the youngster visited Madrid's Valdedebas training facility recently with his family and the European champions are now best positioned to do a deal.
Swedish paper Expressen claims that Madrid have seen bid of €10.7 million turned down for the Sweden under-21 international, whose contract with AIK Solna runs until summer 2018.
"There are a lot of rumours and speculation about Alexander Isak right now," AIK's sporting director Bjorn Wesstrom said.
"We can conclude that there is great interest. Otherwise, we cannot make any other comment at the present time."
Should a deal go through for a higher sum Isak would become the most expensive signing from the Allsvenskan of all time -- breaking a record set when current Manchester United striker Ibrahimovic joined Ajax from Malmo back in 2001.
Expressen have also reported that Isak's agent Vladica Lemic has strong ties to Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich, and the Premier League club are also considering making a bid.
The situation is complicated by Madrid currently being banned by FIFA from registering any new players during the January and summer 2017 transfer windows, although Marca say this would not stop a deal going through as Isak could be immediately loaned to another club until that punishment is served.
Madrid have a relationship with AIK Solna from their purchase of young Finnish striker Eero Markkanen in summer 2014. Markkanen cost €2.3m but scored just two goals in 10 games for Madrid's Castilla youth team, never featuring for the senior side, and the now 25-year-old currently back at the Swedish side having failed to settle in the Spanish capital.
In January 2015 Madrid beat off competition from many of Europe's other top clubs to sign Norwegian starlet Martin Odegaard, with the then 16-year-old moving in a transfer worth up to €8m.
Odegaard recently made his first start for Madrid's senior team in a Copa del Rey game against third tier La Cultural Leonesa, and is expected to join Ligue 1 side Rennes on loan in January.
