Wolfsburg midfielder Julian Draxler has reaffirmed his intention to leave the Bundesliga club as soon as possible after being jeered by fans on Saturday.
Draxler, 23, said in an interview in the summer that he wanted out of Wolfsburg straight away, but the Bundesliga club refused to let him leave.
He has since lost his regular place in the starting XI and when he was brought on as a substitute in Saturday's 3-2 defeat at home to Hertha Berlin, the boos in the Volkswagen-Arena were deafening.
"I don't think I need to tell anybody what that does to a person -- it certainly doesn't help you," Draxler said in quotes reported by Kicker.de.
"There's no doubt it makes it hard for you to perform on the field.
"I can understand the fans, though. They have every right to do that. I said in the summer the way I feel and I stand by that."
Draxler has missed several games through injury, although Saturday was the first time he was dropped despite being fit.
"I have to accept that," he said. "The coach doesn't need to explain it to me. From a purely sporting point of view, it's understandable too, but there's not much more to say about it."
Juventus and Arsenal were both linked with the Germany international in the summer, with the Bianconeri having been close to signing him when he joined Wolfsburg from Schalke in a club-record deal in 2015.
Wolfsburg sporting executive Klaus Allofs indicated last month that the club would now be open to selling Draxler.
