Oleksandr Zinchenko joins Manchester City from FC Ufa

Manchester City have confirmed the signing of Ukraine attacking midfielder Oleksandr Zinchenko from FC Ufa.

Sources told ESPN FC last week that City had agreed a deal for Zinchenko, 19, and the transfer has now been completed.

The Manchester Evening News reports that Zinchenko cost £1.7 million.

He played in all three of Ukraine's matches at Euro 2016, coming on as a substitute against Germany and Northern Ireland, before starting against Poland.

Zinchenko scored twice in 26 appearances in all competitions for Russian club Ufa, after joining from Shakhtar Donetsk on a free transfer in 2015.

He made his international debut in October and became the youngest player ever to score for Ukraine in May after his goal in the 4-3 victory over Romania.

Zinchenko could be sent out on loan this season to gain more experience before joining up with Pep Guardiola's first-team squad next year, a source has told ESPN FC.

He becomes City's fourth signing of the summer following deals for midfielders Ilkay Gundogan from Borussia Dortmund and Aaron Mooy from Melbourne City as well as Spain forward Nolito from Celta Vigo.

Ufa also confirmed the deal on their official website and added: "In addition, FC Ufa and Manchester City agreed to a long-term cooperation, the details of which will be announced later."
