Udinese sign Manchester City midfielder Seko Fofana - report

Manchester City midfielder Seko Fofana has joined Italian club Udinese in a deal worth a reported £2.5 million, according L'Equipe.

The 21-year old Frenchman has signed a five-year deal with the Serie A side that avoided relegation by a point last season.

Fofana joined City from French club Lorient three years ago but never made an appearance for the first team.

He spent last season out on loan at Ligue 1 club Bastia where he played 32 times and scored once.

The Paris-born player also had a successful loan spell at Fulham in 2014-15, making 25 appearances and scoring once as the London club avoided relegation.

Fofana has played for the France team at every level from under-16s to under-19s.

He was nominated for the young player of the year award in his second season at City, then went on the first team's preseason tour to Australia last summer and made two non-competitive appearances against Adelaide United and Melbourne City.
