U.S. international Emerson Hyndman close to Bournemouth deal - source

Bournemouth are closing in on the signing of U.S. international Emerson Hyndman, a source close to the player has told ESPN FC.

Hyndman, 20, is out of contract at Fulham this summer and a source told ESPN FC last month that he was set to leave Craven Cottage after rejecting an offer of a new deal.

A number of clubs across Europe have been chasing Hyndman, but Bournemouth are currently in pole position to land the midfielder, with boss Eddie Howe viewing him as a potential future star.

Fulham signed Hyndman in 2011 from FC Dallas and he made his first-team debut in the 2014-15 campaign, and last season he appeared 17 times for the Championship club.

Fulham will be due a compensation fee from Bournemouth if Hyndman were to complete a move to Dean Court.

Meanwhile, sources close to Fulham striker Moussa Dembele have told ESPN FC that Arsenal have joined the race for for the player.
